Dealers Association (ISODA) kick started their 'Tech
Summit 2012' recently in Singapore. More than 100 members across
the country participated in the event, which
took place on January 26. The event started with the executive
general body meet of ISODA followed by a battery of sessions. Alok
Gupta, president, ISODA, inaugurated the event. Speaking at the
event, on the topic 'The Next Big Idea', Sudarshan Ranganathan,
VP, ISODA, said, “We (channel partners) should scale new peaks and
step forward to do a lot better than what we are doing now. We should
also search for excellence, which can be done by doing things better
every day and every minute than the past.” Ranganathan added,
“Things are changing and people are changing too. Transformation is
needed for the search of excellence.” He also urged partners to
concentrate on three core areas-value creation, wealth creation,
and updating themselves in education. Ranganathan said, “The event
is organized mainly to make us think 'When was the last time we did
something for the first time?' which led to innovation, with a
different strategic approach which transformed ourselves.”
Speaking
on the responses to the event, Ranganathan said, “The responses and
sponsorship for the event was fantastic. Vendors from cloud
servicing, authentication and web security, availability back-up and
end-point protection, perimeter security and threat prevention have
sponsored the event.” The summit, titled 'How do you survive the
future?', was sponsored by RSA Security, Fortinet, SonicWall, Quest
Software, Bluecoat, K7, Cyberoam, Symantec, Microsoft, Websense and
Seclore. Apart from the vendor sessions, the summit also had sessions
of guest speakers who were financial consultants, management experts
and educationalists.
