In the recently held second edition of Infotech Software Dealers Association (ISODA) Tech Summit in Singapore, Delhi based Futuresoft Solutions has been awarded with ISODA-MP Kini National Award for Business Excellence 2011. This was the first award which was sponsored by M Prabhakar Kini of Kinfotech.

Futuresoft has been awarded for its outstanding performance in the software reselling and solutions business. In addition to Business Excellence 2011 award, ISODA also decided to introduce 5 new award categories for the next tech summit in 2013.

The announcement of the institution of MP Kini Award for Business Excellence was announced at the first ISODA Tech Summit 2011 held in Bangkok, by M Prabhakar Kini, founder and MD of Bengaluru based Kinfotech. Attended by close to 124 delegates, this year, the summit received 30% more participation from members and sponsors as compared to the last year.

Speaking to The DQ Week, Harinder Salwan, secretary, ISODA said, “The award selection procedure was conducted by three member committee, which was headed by MP Kini. The nomination process started 3-months back, and we received 15 nominations for this award. Out of which, four members were shortlisted including Futuresoft Solutions, Veeras Infotek, Choice Solutions and ITCG Solutions. Then finally, based on the business volumes and projects, the committee selected Futuresoft's name.”

The winner was awarded with a shield and certificate. “After the award ceremony, the committee proposed to all delegates that we should conduct more such awards, and asked members to sponsor them. Hence, based on mutual discussion, we announced 5 more awards for next year," added Salwan.

The new award categories include Lifetime Achievement and four regional awards. Moreover, these awards will be sponsored by members. The southern region award will be sponsored by Bengaluru based Ample Technologies, followed by Comparex (earlier IRIS) for northern region award. Eastern region award will be sponsored by Kiosk Technologies, while LDS Infotech will sponsor western region award. And the Lifetime Achievement award will be sponsored by Hyderabad based Choice Solutions. The association will announce the date and venue of the third tech summit, 2013 in the next board meeting.
