big on its monitor business in the Indian market, Taiwan based
display manufacturer AOC,
has
planned to invest Rs 6 crore to expand its monitor business. “We
are targeting a sale of 12.5 lakh monitors in the Indian market this
year. Last year, we successfully reached our target with the shipment
of more than 1 lakh AOC monitors in the country. This year, we
are all set to play big in enhancing our go-to-market strategies for
brand presence, along with geographical expansion,” said Saurabh
Grover, sales head, India, AOC monitor business. While the majority
of the monitor business in India is executed by the vendor's
channel fraternity, AOC has embarked on a plan to expand the number
of channel partners across the nation.
“We are planning to add
1,000 partners to our existing base of about 3,500 partners to
strengthen our product distribution across the country. And, for this
expansion, we would be primarily focusing on states like Gujarat,
Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi, where we had not been able to
strengthen our brand presence with our monitors. While north-eastern
regions of India, and Puducherry contribute to about 80% to our
overall monitor business in the country,” said Grover. Not only the
company is going aggressive on adding more partners to strengthen its
brand presence, but it has rolled out an incentive program in order
to encourage partner-centric business activities. “If a partner
completes about
35-40% of the billing target of our product distribution by 15th
of every month, then they would be offered several incentives by
AOC,” said Grover.
Further,
as per the AOC's marketing strategies in the Indian market, the
company is all set to organize several roadshows and training
programs for its partners. “As per our marketing strategies, this
year, we will be tying up with 40 locations in the top 8 metro cities
to organize several roadshows, wherein our partners will actively
participate in showcasing all our products in the market,” he
added.
